Day 1 – Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
- Welcome to Mongolia! Upon arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport, meet your Travel Buddies driver and transfer to your hotel. Take the day to rest after your flight or explore the city independently — visit Sukhbaatar Square, the National Museum, or Gandan Monastery.

Day 2 – Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa)
- After breakfast, depart Ulaanbaatar and begin your journey south to the Gobi Desert. The drive takes you through a wide-open steppe where you’ll pass small towns, herds, and wind-sculpted rock formations.
- In the afternoon, arrive at Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa) — a 30-meter-high limestone escarpment eroded into shapes resembling an ancient ruined city. Take a short hike along the ridge for panoramic views and photographs.

Day 3 – South Gobi & Yolyn Am Gorge
- After breakfast, drive deeper into the southern Gobi. Along the way, stop in Dalanzadgad, the provincial capital, to visit the Natural History Museum — one of the town’s highlights.
- The museum’s exhibits cover culture, geology, and wildlife, but the real attraction is its dinosaur fossils and the story of paleontological discoveries made in the Gobi Desert during the 20th century.
- Continue into Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park and reach Yolyn Am Gorge — a deep canyon famous for its perennial ice field and dramatic rock walls. Take a 5 km hike (about 2 hours) through the valley to enjoy its cool air and striking scenery.

Day 4 – Khongor Sand Dunes & Camel Ride
- After breakfast, journey across the Gobi Desert to the Khongoryn Els Sand Dunes, which stretch for nearly 180 kilometers and rise up to 200 meters high.
- Stop at a camel-herding family and enjoy a 1-hour ride on a Bactrian camel, guided by local herders.
- Later, hike to the top of one of the smaller dunes for sunset — from the summit, the desert stretches endlessly in every direction, with golden hues shifting as daylight fades.
- Return to your camp for dinner and rest.

Day 5 – Flaming Cliffs & Ongi Monastery
- Today, drive to the famous Flaming Cliffs (Bayanzag), the discovery site of the world’s first dinosaur eggs.
- Take a gentle walk among the red sandstone formations glowing in the sunlight — it’s one of the Gobi’s most iconic landscapes.
- Continue north toward the Ongi Monastery, located beside the Ongi River. Once one of Mongolia’s largest monastic centers, it was destroyed in the 1930s and later partially restored.

Day 6 – Kharkhorin & Erdene Zuu Monastery

- Visit Erdene Zuu Monastery, Mongolia’s first Buddhist monastery, encircled by 108 white stupas. Explore its temples and colorful artwork, then visit the Karakorum Museum to learn more about the empire’s legacy and Silk Road connections.
