DAY 1: Flight to Gobi, Hiking in Yol Valley

This morning you will be transferred to the domestic airport and take a local flight to the South Gobi at 06:30 a.m. Upon arrival, our driver and guide pick you up and travel to Gurvan Saikhan National Park. Get ready for 2 hours hike to the valley along a flowing stream. Good trekking shoes as well as walking sticks are recommended because further we go; narrower the valley becomes. In the middle of summer in July and August, usually there is no ice to see however, you will definitely enjoy the hike with pleasant environment of many pikas and birds in the valley. Visit a small museum that displays a collection of dinosaur eggs, bones and exotic stuffed animals. Completing the activities, we get to the tourist Ger camp to settle and rest for the day. Accommodation: Tourist Ger camp | Meals: L, D | Distance: local flight - 1.5 hours

DAY 2: Wander Khongor Sand Dune

Today we will drive across the Gobi Desert; a vast open area with animals roaming around. The most spectacular and largest sand dune in western Gobi is awaiting us to explore. The dunes have curves which end in a sharp edge, making them look like ocean waves. See oasis and Gobi tree forest at the foot of the sand dunes to make our way to the sand dune with active climbing. We will ride camel from a nomad family nearby. Overnight in tourist Ger camp (2 people share Yurt with single beds, shower/bathroom in a separate building).  Accommodation: Tourist Ger camp | Meals: B, L, D | Distance: 180km-5 hours

DAY 3: Discover Land of Dinosaur, Bayanzag

After breakfast, travel to Khavtsgait, mountain with ancient rock paintings depicted ibex, camel, hunter and animals dated back to Bronze Age. Hiking to the rock painting area offers mind-blowing view of endless steppe and lowland area. After a hike, head to Bayanzag to discover and learn about the incredible site known as Flaming Cliff. First excavated in 1922 the area is renowned worldwide for the dinosaur eggs and bones discovered in the classic desert of rock and red sand. Wander around the top of the cliffs along the ridge and around the base. DAY 4: Hike in Ongi monastery ruin

Travel to the Ongi temple and monastery ruins in the bank of only river flows to the Gobi called Ongi. The monastery was built in 17th century and was among the largest temples in Mongolia and was a home for over 1,000 monks. The Ongi was destroyed by the communist purges and restored by the residing monks. We will hike through the fascinating ruins and river Ongi. Overnight in tourist Ger camp (2 people share Yurt with single beds, shower/bathroom in a separate building).  Accommodation: Tourist Ger camp | Meals: B, L, D | Distance: 170km-4 hours

DAY 5: Explore Orkhon Waterfall

Today we will drive to the Orkhon waterfall, a part of Unesco world heritage site. It is 24 meters high waterfall formed by volcanic activity where you can swim and hike. Upon arrival, we will visit the waterfall and meet a yak herder family to learn from the nomadic life. Enjoy a traditional Mongolian meal for dinner and stay overnight in the family’s guest Ger.  Accommodation: Nomad family | Meals: B, L, D | Distance: 360km-7 hours

DAY 6: Enjoy Tsenkher Hot Spring and Hiking

Take the chance to unwind today with a trip to the Tsenkher Hot Springs. Settle in to the tourist Ger camp and enjoy a natural hot spring bath. Overnight in tourist Ger camp (2 people share Yurt with single beds, shower/bathroom in a separate building).  Accommodation: Tourist Ger camp | Meals: B, L, D | Distance: 200km-3.5 hours

DAY 7: Legends of Khorgo Terkh N.P

In the morning, we will pass by Tsetserleg town which is small and well-structured. We will visit Chuluut River, which flows in the gorge formed of lava of the nearby extinct volcano such as Khorgo and others. Moreover visit Khorgo-terkh national park, which consists of Khorgo volcano and the White Lake. Walk up to the crater of an Extinct Khorgo volcano. Lastly, we will arrive in White Lake created by volcanic eruption. Hike around the lake and stay in tourist Ger camp (2 people share Yurt with single beds, shower/bathroom in a separate building).  Accommodation: Tourist Ger camp | Meals: B, L, D | Distance: 200km-3 hours

DAY 8: Traverse Kharkhorin - Erdenezuu Monastery

After breakfast this morning drive to Karakorum, the site of the 13th century Mongolian capital. Visit Karakorum museum and learn about the Great Mongol state period, Stone Age, Bronze Age, Ancient state. Take a tour through the ancient city before moving on the beautiful ruins of Erdene Zuu Monastery. Surrounded by huge 400m x 400m walls built from the ruins of Karakorum, the Erdenezuu was the first and the biggest Buddhist monastery of the 16th century. Overnight in tourist Ger camp (2 people share Yurt with single beds, shower/bathroom in a separate building).  Accommodation: Tourist Ger camp | Meals: B, L, D | Distance: 300km-4.5 hours

DAY 9: Return to UB

Today, we will drive to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel you booked. Meals: B, L | Distance: 370km-6 hours
