They live in teepee “rounded tent” and mostly rely on animal husbandry. The reindeer herders’ tribe consists of only 50 families herding total of 2000 reindeer and living east and west parts of Taiga.

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia & Free Day
- Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, Capital of Mongolia
- Our driver will transfer you from Chinggis Khaan International Airport (check available services at the airport to your hotel (30-45 minutes)
- Free day in Ulaanbaatar (you can explore the city on your own – check suggested attractions to visit in Ulaanbaatar or book our city day tour)

Day 2 : Fly to Khuvsgul + Visit Lake Khuvsgul
- Pick up from your hotel and fly to Northern Mongolia
- Upon arrival drive to the lake Khuvsgul crystal clear lake contains about 1.5% of the world’s fresh water
- Enjoy the beauty of the lake and forest
- Relax in the shore side tourist Ger camp

Day 3 : Tsagaan Nuur Village – Darkhad Valley
- Travel to the Darkhad valley; a home of Darkhad small ethnic group of Mongolia

- Enjoy stopover at 13-ovoo – Shamanic ritual cairn place
- Rough ride through the mountain pass and river valley

Day 4 : Horse Riding to Tsaatan - Reindeer Herders
- Saddle on Mongolian sturdy horse and trek for 5-6 hours toward Tsaatan village
- Ride through Siberian pine and larch forest and over the hill
- Arrive in Tsaatan community
- Settle in your Teepee among Tsaatan herder families

Day 5 : Live with Tsaatan reindeer herders
- Learn daily chores of Tsaatan tribes

Day 6 : Tsagaan Nuur + Tengis & Shigshed River Valley
- Leave the Tsaatan families and ride back to Tsagaa nuur village

Day 7 : Murun city, capital of Khuvsgul Province
- Drive to Murun city; one of the largest town with more than 30,000 residents
- Explore Murun city outdoor market selling local food & products
- Have a rest in a local hotel after this wilderness trip
- Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
- Accommodation: Standard local hotel (double occupancy)
- Distance: 4 hours’ drive on paved road

Day 8: Fly to Ulaanbaatar
- Take a internal flight to Ulaanbaatar city

End of tour. Departure from Chinggis Khaan International Airport. Our tour driver will drop you off at the airport approx. 3 hours before your scheduled flight. - You will stay in excellent tourist Ger camps which a traditional hotel that provides Ger (yurt –round shape dwelling) as a hotel room and is usually located near the tourist attractions. The standard toilet, shower and bathroom facilities are provided.
- Nomad family stay in Guest Ger : Unique
- You will experience authentic nomad homestay enjoying hearty meals and drinks with local helping the nomad with daily chores from milking cow, processing dairy products (cooking milk, preparing butter) and rounding up livestock. Based on twin to quadruple occupancy, Guest ger are equipped with beds, sink to wash and table with chairs but no standard toilet, tape water, shower and electricity are provided.
- Local hotel & Guesthouse
- Local hotels & guesthouse have different standards but mostly basic. We use the best and clean local hotel & guesthouses in the region.
- We will cater authentic Mongolian and fusion meals as well as European meals during your travel. Special dietary requests such vegetarian, gluten-free and religious meals are available upon request in advance.
- Depending on the number of people, we provide 4WD car with A/C including Land cruiser, Lexus jeep and Mitsubishi Delica for comfort and efficiency. More less half of the Mongolian road is dirt and off-beaten. Depending on day-to-day program, we drive on asphalt and dirt road for as little as a couple of hours up to six hours with pleasant stops for toilet, photographs and stretching.
