Day 2 – Fly to Ölgii | Into the Heart of the Altai
- This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to the far west — a land of mountains, eagles, and Kazakh traditions. Upon arrival in Ölgii, begin your overland journey to Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, where Mongolia meets China and Russia at a single point. The road carries you through sweeping grasslands and into rising mountains, where rugged peaks carve bold silhouettes against the sky.

Day 3 – Potanin Glacier | Where Mountains Touch the Sky
- Start your day by driving deeper into the high Altai. The trail grows steep and rough as you ascend toward the snowbound world above. From the road’s end, hike through glacial valleys toward the mighty Potanin Glacier — the largest in Mongolia. Here, five of the Altai’s sacred peaks tower above you, their snowcaps shimmering in the sun. Return to camp for an evening beneath brilliant stars, the mountains standing silent guard.

Day 4 – Lake Khoton & Khurgan | Alpine Waters & Baga Turgen Falls

Walk through forests and rocky foothills to the spectacular Baga Turgen Waterfall, where torrents plunge through a narrow canyon surrounded by alpine peaks. Tonight, stay by a crystal-clear river, just steps from Mongolia’s border with China — a still and pristine wilderness where mountain winds whisper through the valley.

Day 5 – Eagle Hunter Experience | Return to Ölgii

Local Ger Camps – Simple Comfort in Nature Some are spent in ger camps, which provide a cozy and clean base near attractions and stop-overs.
